We say this because after many rumors, It is a fact that we will continue enjoying the scores of the enormous John Williams on the big screen and of course that excites us very much.
It was a few months ago when The American composer hinted that he would retire foreversuggesting that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny It would be his final soundtrack. John Williams confirmed that he will not retire from composing music for films
It turns out that recently John Williams spoke with The Times from London and in an interview with that medium, he revealed that he is not thinking about retiring. And incidentally, he clarified how the matter of his supposed farewell went: “I don’t care much about big pronouncements, firm, finished statements surrounded by closed doors. If I made one without putting it in context then I take it down.”.
Although Williams did not mention what his next soundtrack could be, he made it clear that if he finds a project that catches his attention, he will surely upload it: “If a movie came along that I was really interested in, with a schedule I could deal with, then I wouldn’t rule anything out. Everything is possible. Everything is before us. Only our limitations stop us.”
For now, John Williams will team up with cellist Yo-Yo Ma for a series of concerts in Philadelphia and New York in February 2024. However, we are very happy to know that a true legend of cinema and music will continue making spectacular scores.
