Mathura. The joy of Shri Krishna Janmotsav is in full swing in Mathura. Braj has been decorated like heaven to welcome Kanha. Today, Monday, at 12 midnight, Kanhaiya (Shri Krishna) will be born in every house. Mangal Badhai songs will resonate in every house. Lakhs of devotees from the country and abroad have come to Braj to see him.
All the big and small temples and crossings of Braj have been decorated. In view of security, police and PAC personnel have been deployed at every nook and corner. According to the estimates of intelligence agencies, more than 50 lakh devotees will witness the Krishna Janmotsav. Not only the entire Braj but lakhs of devotees from the country and abroad are eager to welcome Lalla. As soon as Kanhaiya is born at 12 o’clock on Monday night in the major temples of Mathura-Vrindavan, the atmosphere will reverberate with the slogans of Hathi-Ghoda Palki Jai Kanhaiyalal.
Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan offered clothes and ornaments to Thakurji in the middle of the procession on Sunday evening. Devotees witnessed the procession. Amidst the melodious sounds of drums, nagadas, mridangas, cymbals, tambourines and damru, devotees wearing auspicious attire and artists from different parts of the country were feeling divine joy by participating in the procession. Thousands of devotees were also dancing in joy after witnessing the procession. 5251 lamps were lit on the 5251st birth anniversary of the Lord.
Kapil Sharma, Secretary of Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan, and member Gopeshwarnath Chaturvedi said that the procession first reached Shri Keshavdevji temple and offered clothes and ornaments to Lord Shri Keshavdevji. After this, clothes and ornaments were offered to Mother Yogamayaji after worshipping her. The devotees, dancing, singing and enjoying themselves, offered clothes in the Shri Garbha Griha temple.
