Bribe: Patwari caught taking bribe and swallowed money.. Video goes viral

An officer who was caught taking Lokayukta.. swallowed the notes to escape. This shocking incident took place in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. Patwari Gajendra Singh of Katni district revenue department demanded land from a farmer named Chandan Singh Lodhi of Barkheda village. He bluntly said that he will work only if he is given Rs.5000. The aggrieved farmer approached Jabalpur Lokayukta. Lokayukta officials stepped into the field after the complaint of the farmer. Bilhari Lokayukta officials who investigated this, reached the private office of Patwari Gajendrasingh in the village. Rajendra Singh was arrested. While accepting a bribe of Rs.4,500 from Chandan Singh, he was shocked when Lokayukta officials entered his office. Patwari Gajendra Singh chewed and swallowed the bribe money to avoid being found by the authorities. As a result, Lokayukta officials and police took the bribed official to the hospital. The doctors there crushed the bribe notes from the patwari’s mouth into pulp. The pulp of notes was seized and the Patwari was taken into custody. SP Sanjay Sahu said that a case has been registered against him and investigation has been started. The video of this incident is currently going viral on social media.
