Desk. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is not taking part in the by-election being held on Milkipur seat of Uttar Pradesh. However, after the by-election of nine seats, BSP chief Mayawati herself had announced this. Since then, BSP has shifted its focus from Milkipur Assembly. Now there is a direct contest between BJP and SP.
Political experts say that with BSP out of the field, the chances of a direct contest between BJP and SP in Milkipur by-election have increased. Samajwadi Party has already fielded Ajit Prasad, son of SP MP Awadhesh, on this seat. He is continuously engaged in campaigning.
Chandrashekhar Ravan can also field his candidate. After Makar Sankranti, BJP will open its cards here. Congress has already announced its support to SP. This time this seat will be discussed in the entire country because this seat is related to Ayodhya. Besides, this seat is also safe. BSP state president Vishwanath Pal says that BSP chief Mayawati had announced after the by-election results that BSP will not participate in the by-elections.
He said that when all the political parties want the elections to be held through ballot, the Commission is not taking cognizance of it. He said that when BSP will not participate in this election, then why will we support anyone. Whatever order has been given by BSP chief Mayawati, it will be followed. Political analyst Virendra Singh Rawat says that Milkipur seat is also considered important because it is connected to Ayodhya.
