Bubble gum.. When it hits the mouth, it is sweet.. It is chewy. This bubble gum movie is also a correct appt for the title. Director Ravikanth Perepu has brought this brand new love story film to the audience, thinking that this ‘bubble gum’, which all the youth are fond of, is the right fit for his story.
The Kanakala family has a history of introducing many artists to the industry. Roshan Kanakala entered the industry with the film ‘Bubble Gum’ as the successor of Rajiv Kanakala and Suma Kanakala. He kept coming.. He brought a girl named Maanasa Choudhary from Puttur district of Chittoor as the heroine. These two new hero-heroines chewed ‘bubble gum’ hard. This bubble gum went sweeter sweeter.
Coming to the story.. Adi (Roshan Kanakala) dreams of becoming a DJ. He is trying for a chance in a pub that he will always get a good chance. Manodi Daridram Baleka.. An older girl Janu (Manasa Chaudhary) comes to the same pub. At first glance, Manodi’s eyes fall on Janu Papa. Even an adult’s baby can see. Even before this, our Adi Babu makes serious love. But Janu Papa.. boys should be toys in our hands but we should not be toys. Since the turkey will be carved soon anyway.. will see if anyone can find the baccarat in the meantime. Meanwhile, the big bakara Adi Babu is found.
In the future, both of them will have fun walks together.. romances.. lip locks and Goa trips.. As the baby is not in need of money, Adi Babu will feed him well by giving him money. The greatest thing in this life is to have a child. On top of that, Adi Babu worships Janu Papa saying that if there is something to love, it is a goddess. Both of them go to Goa together and enjoy it in every way. In this process Janu Papa.. really falls in love with Adi. Until then, Janu, who was of the opinion that love means use and throw, sees a true lover in Aadi. But a fierce kiss scene creates a distance between them. The rest of the story of ‘Bubble Gum’ is the distance that brought the lives of these two.
As long as you are in love, it will be good.. If there is a difference, it will leave you standing on the road with a cheddi before you recover.. The same is the situation of the hero in ‘Bubble Gum’. A young man who has lost in love and is desperate for a career. A young woman who believes that love is lust without clarity about her career. Ravikanth, who gained craze as a director with the films ‘Kshanam’ and ‘Krishna and His Leela’, has once again chosen a plot that connects with the youth with the film ‘Bubble Gum’. The ‘bubble gum’ was tasted as a reflection of the authentic Hyderabadi nativity.
From the story point of view, ‘Bubble Gum’ is a routine format love story, but the way it is directed by Ravikanth is new. But the big minus is that the novelty of this ‘bubble gum’ is not to everyone’s taste. If the interval scene is missed in the first half, everything else goes smoothly. If a love story is to flourish.. Lip locks are not only intense romances.. Emotions must flourish. The director could not carry the emotion in bubble gum. What is bubble gum.. I thought it would be so bland.. They made it fun with the interval bang. He reminded me of a new kind of Arjun Reddy.
If the same flow continues.. the result of bubble gum would have been different but.. falling and rising.. the story seems heavy. Where is the destination of these two lovers? It became confusing. Shaking.. breaking up.. getting back together.. rapid scenes with mixed emotions like bubble gum sa.. keeps going. The final climactic scene also feels unfinished. In terms of taking, the director got good marks.
Although Roshan Kanakala and Manasa Chaudhary are newcomers, the director has been successful in getting performances from them. Both of them have great screen presence. But in the romantic scenes.. their chemistry.. Abbo is not normal. Both of them did not perform normally in the kissing scenes. Lived by competing. Usually a single lip lock in a song will get the guys fired up. In the Goa trip song that comes before the interval.. can’t count but.. the whole song is lip lock. Roshan and Manasalu locked the youth with that song.
In terms of acting.. Roshan can’t bend it.. Manas can’t bend it. Although it is the first film for both of them, they have competed like experienced actors without feeling that they are newbies anywhere. Impressed in love and emotions scenes. To see Roshan Kanakala.. even though he is not a hero material.. he has been given elevations according to his cutout. Roshan perfectly suits the role of Adi, a Hyderabadi youth from a middle class family. He has cultivated dialogue delivery, action and emotions very well. Roshan got good marks as an actor from the first movie itself. A good story is needed.. It is calculated that the son of anchor Suma has a good future.
Telugu heroine Manasa Chaudhary. Beauty for beauty.. Performance for performance impressed with the performance. This Puttur girl from Chittoor district gave a full kick to the lad with a glamor show. She gave a performance that turned up the heat in the romantic scenes. In the second half, however, emotions were squeezed.
If there is any character in this movie that is more mature than the hero and heroines, it is Chaitu Jonnalagadda who played the role of the hero’s father. Chaithu Jonnalagadda is a chicken shop Yadagiri. Since he is Siddu Jonnalagadki’s Swayana, the face cuts are also the same. Dialogue delivery.. The whole look is same to same Siddu. He brought laughs with his distinctive performance in a perfect Hyderabadi accent. In the emotional scenes between father and son, Chaitu made us cry and laugh. Bindu Chandramouli and Chaitu Jonnalagadla are quite a tricky pair as husband and wife. The pair of these two is a plus for the movie. Many of the fighters of Hyderabad remember their parents, seeing them. It is because of these two that the comedy track has worked out. Even if Viva Harsha.. his comedy is light.
Harshavardhan and Anuhasan impressed as the heroine’s parents. After years of being modern parents, the wedding scene of these two will be very tricky. Kiran Maccha and Ananya Akula, who appeared as friends of the hero, were impressed. The positive buzz for the movie Bubble Gum is due to the background score given by Sricharan Pakala for the teaser and trailers. But the movie did not have much impact. It doesn’t matter as long as it is.
Overall.. Bubble Gum is a movie that fits the title. Sweet.. Bland.. Gone. Can connect to youth. This bubble gum is not very palatable for the family audience. So suma kid better luck next time.
