New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Union Budget will lay a strong foundation for a developed India.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2023-2024 this morning. The much awaited income tax benefits have been announced in this budget.
Among those following the new income tax regime, those with annual gross income up to Rs 7 lakh will no longer be subject to income tax. Earlier this upper limit was Rs.5 lakh, now it has been increased to Rs.7 lakh.
In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while talking about the budget said, “This budget will fulfill the dreams of the poor, poor, middle class and farmers of the society. This budget will lay a strong foundation for India to become a developed country.
