New Delhi: As the Union Budget session begins today, leaders of various parties participated and discussed in the all-party meeting organized by the Union Government.
Annually, the first budget session of the year begins at the end of January. Accordingly, today (January 31) this year’s budget session will begin. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the economic report after this meeting. This report will cover the projects for the year 2022-2023.
Following this, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget on February 1.
This is the 5th budget he will present after taking charge as the finance minister. As the first parliamentary session of the current year is about to begin today, an all-party meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prakalat Singh Joshi.
Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Prakalat Joshi, Piyush Goyal, Arjun Ram Meghwal, V.Muralitharan, DMK MP were present in the meeting. DR. Balu, Trinamool Congress leaders Sudeep Bandopadhyay, Sukhendu Shekhar Roy, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K. Kesavarao, Nama Nageshwara Rao and others participated and discussed.
Vijaya Sai Reddy of YSR Congress Party, National Conference Party President Farooq Abdullah, Manoj Jha of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Ram Nath Thakur of United Janata Dal, Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena Party (Uddhav Thackeray wing) also participated in the meeting.
National President Mallikarjuna Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary and others on behalf of the Congress did not participate in the all-party meeting as they participated in the final day of Rahul Gandhi’s India Unity Yatra.
The first budget session will conclude on February 13. Part 2 of the series of meetings will begin on March 13. Parliamentary sources said that a discussion will be held on the grant request of various departments.
