New Delhi. There was a huge uproar in the Rajya Sabha today after an opposition MP found a bundle of currency notes on the bench. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar informed the House about this issue. When Leader of Opposition (Congress) Mallikarjun Kharge stood up to speak on this issue in Rajya Sabha, people from the ruling party started creating ruckus.
After this, Kharge got angry and said that you are defaming the country by doing such a stupid thing. Actually Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said that I have received information that during a routine anti-sabotage check, a bundle of currency notes has been recovered after the House was adjourned yesterday. He told that this seat has been found at number 222, which is allotted to Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi. He is a Rajya Sabha MP from Telangana for 2024-26.
When Kharge got up to speak on this issue, Dhankhar asked him to speak only on the issue of the bundle of notes. Then (Congress) Kharge said that I know that if I speak on any other issue, you will not allow me to speak. Kharge said that my only request is that till the time the matter is being investigated, the name of the person from whose seat the bundle was found should not be mentioned.
There was an uproar from the ruling party on this statement of Kharge. Then Kharge lost his temper and said that you all are liars, can we do this. By doing such a chilling thing you are defaming the country. From the ruling party, Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda said that it is not right that you show intensity on someone and spread mud on some issue, our opposition leaders are senior leaders, I was expecting from them that The investigation should be done and it should be done in a good manner, I am also a lawyer. The truth should be revealed to everyone.
