Raipur. Now there will be no need to go to the Transport Officer’s office for buying and selling old vehicles in Chhattisgarh. Now this work will be done from the transport facility centers only. It has been told in the official information that the Transport Department has started a new process called Aadhaar Authentication. Under this, those who buy and sell vehicles will go to their nearest Transport Facilitation Center and will be able to get the name transferred easily. The biggest advantage of this would be that the activism of brokers in the name transfer game would reduce. Right now, due to lack of information, most of the people get trapped in the affairs of touts and touts collect huge amount.
According to transport officials, people will get direct benefit from the introduction of this new system. Out of the money that is currently being spent on transfer, an additional Rs 100 will have to be given to the Transport Facilitation Centre.
Transport Commissioner Dipanshu Kabra said that with the introduction of this new arrangement of the Transport Department, those who buy and sell second hand vehicles will now be given facility near their homes through the Transport Facilitation Center.
According to RTO figures, more than two lakh second hand vehicles are bought and sold in the state every year, the registration certificate of these vehicles has to be transferred. This work is very complicated.
Explain that until the vehicle buyer does not transfer the ownership of the vehicle to his name, he is not legally called the owner of that vehicle. Similarly, if you have sold a vehicle and if an accident or a crime occurs with that vehicle, then action is taken in the name of the person registered in the RC book. If you are buying or selling an old car or bike, then it is necessary to transfer the registration.
The Transport Department has opened 500 facility centers across the state, while about 50 facilities have been opened in Raipur district. At present, the work of filling online forms for transport related works is done here. The department is now introducing Aadhaar authentication at these Seva Kendras. Here the buyer-seller will have to mention his Aadhaar number.(IANS)
