For this purpose, they are looking to hire 10 thousand teachers.
Byjus suffered huge losses in the financial year ended March 31, 2021. Simultaneously, it announced losses of Rs.4,588 crores. This June also the company laid off 2500 employees. Demand for edtech companies was huge during the lockdown. But now the corona has subsided and all the schools and colleges have opened. The demand for online classes and learning apps has decreased significantly. Due to this, the income of Byjus also fell. Many companies in this sector, not just Byzoos, have done the same to reduce costs. Unacademy, Lido Learning, Vedantu.. want thousands of employees.
Recently, leading tech companies like Apple, Google and Facebook have laid off employees to reduce costs. This trend has also affected IT companies in the country. They are trying to reduce the number of employees due to many reasons.
