New Delhi: The budget session of Parliament will start on 31st. On that day, President Drabupati Murmu will address the joint session of Parliament. It assumes significance as it is his first speech after taking office as the President.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the economic report on that day. He will present the Union Budget on February 1. With Lok Sabha elections due next year, this will be the last full budget presented by the ruling BJP coalition government at the Centre. The budget session will be held till April 6.
In this context, a Cabinet meeting was held yesterday in Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Union Budget. A detailed discussion was held on the central budget. Various schemes of the central government were also discussed.
Prime Minister Modi held discussions with the Union Ministers regarding the successful conduct of the meetings of the G-20 organization as India has assumed the presidency. It is reported that various important decisions were taken in this meeting.
Legislative assembly elections are going to be held in 9 states across the country. It is said that there will be a change in the central cabinet before that.
