Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said that he likes to call me Hindu.
He further spoke about this at the Hindu Conference held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
There is a conspiracy going on in the state to feel that it is wrong to say Hindu. Syed Ahmed Khan, the founder of Aligarh Muslim University, wanted to be called a Hindu a century ago. Now there is a situation where it has to be highlighted here.
Hindu is a geographical term. All those who are born in India, live on the food grown here, and drink the water of Indian rivers deserve to be called Hindus.
Therefore, we should not separate Hindu as a religious term here. As a member of the Arya Samaj, why don’t you call me a Hindu? There is nothing wrong with calling it that way. It’s wrong not to call.
This was said by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.
