Engineer Abdullah Al Dabboos, a camel lover, rented a rare breed of camel for just 48 hours for 20 million riyals. The lease agreement was signed by both parties and a check for two crore riyals was immediately handed over.
Abdullah bin Awda commented that today is a historic day in the history of camels. He said he had signed the contract for the largest amount of camel rent ever available.
Auda’s statement was also tweeted by Fahad bin Hitlin, chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Camel Club. Hitlin also tweeted a video of the two signing a lease and handing over a check for two crore riyals to Auda. ‘Only those who love and consider camels as their own children can make a financial profit out of it. The method of leasing or selling them is not correct. We need to change the way we look at camels. All camel owners should follow the example of Abdullah bin Auda in this regard, ”Hitlin wrote on Twitter.
