Ghazipur. A case has been registered against Samajwadi Party MP Afzal Ansari under section 353 (3) of the IPC in Ghazipur, UP on Sunday. Afzal Ansari had made controversial remarks regarding ganja. Gorabazar outpost incharge Rajkumar Shukla has filed a case against him.
In fact, MP Afzal Ansari had said that lakhs of people smoke ganja and consider it as God’s offering. If ganja is God’s offering then why is it considered illegal. He further said that many saints and people of Mahatma community consume ganja. If a goods train of ganja is also sent there during the upcoming Kumbh Mela, it will be destroyed.
MP (Afzal Ansari) further said in his statement that even big people in Lucknow smoke ganja, hence like cannabis, the government should give license for it also. Let us tell you that Afzal Ansari is often in the news for his statements. Even before this he has been in the headlines due to his statements.
In fact, while talking to the media in Ghazipur on Thursday, SP MP (Afzal Ansari) had said that if liquor and cannabis have legal status then ganja should also be legalized. We say that legalize ganja by giving it the status of law. Lakhs of people are smoking ganja openly. People smoke ganja during religious events. People consume it as God’s offering and as a herb. He had asked, “Why is God’s offering illegal brother, why this double standard? Illegal and illegal drinking under the law.”
