Cases of food poisoning are increasingly being reported; Kuwait tightens security

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health tightens checks on food poisoning cases The Kuwait Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has decided to strengthen the inspection. The Food and Nutrition Authority Coordinator in the health sector should be notified when cases of food poisoning are reported from time to time in the hospital. Necessary instructions for this have been given to the medical staff of the health centers. Cases of food poisoning cases should be investigated and necessary steps should be taken. If anything is found to be suspicious, necessary action should be taken. The authorities should be informed. Then the officials should come and take the necessary steps. Food items arriving in Kuwait from other countries should be delivered only after strict inspection. The allegation is that laboratory tests of food items from outside are not being carried out. It is the members of Parliament themselves who are making such allegations.

There are a large number of tests being done on food poisoning. Representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, the Environment Public Authority, the Municipality of Kuwait and the General Administration for Customs Kuwait have decided to intensify inspections in the country. Accurate guidelines will be provided at food preparation centers. It will take care of compliance. In such places the staff will be closely monitored to see if they are following the instructions given to them. It has decided to take stern action against companies that employ employees who do not have a health card.
