What you need to know:
The CDMX Electoral Institute has just released a spot that has an intro just like a Kanye West song.
Most likely they paid the rights… right? A few days ago the CDMX Electoral Institute published a spot towards the 2024 elections and it turns out that the intro sounds just like a Kanye West song.
The spot is called “The Call” and refers to the fact that all citizens are already feeling a call to participate in next year’s elections.
The CDMX Electoral Institute used a song by Kanye West
The first scene is a woman in a wheelchair who suddenly begins to hear a catchy rhythm that makes her think about next year’s elections.
The same thing happens with a bowler at the Monument to the Revolution, an office worker, a guy who is driving his car and all the electoral officials who are going to enter in 2024.
“Democracy calls us. This 2024 the elections are ours. Vote CDMX. Electoral Institute Mexico City“, is heard in the spot. Here we leave you the spot published last October 18.
But… aren’t you familiar with the intro of the background song that appears in the spot?
Take a listen to Kanye West’s song called Power, which sounds very similar to what the CDMX Electoral Institute published.
Let us remember that next year, in addition to electing a new president, Mexico City will renew the head of Government of CDMX, as well as 66 local deputies and the heads of the 16 mayors’ offices.
