Beirut. Due to the efforts of America and France, the 60-day-long ceasefire between the terrorist organization Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon has finally been broken. This situation arose when Hezbollah fired two mortars in the Mount Dov area occupied by Israel. Israeli Security Forces (IDF) gave people sleepless nights by carrying out rapid air strikes in Lebanon on Monday evening.
At least nine people died in this action by the IDF. This information was given in an Israeli newspaper report quoting the IDF. It said that Israeli fighter planes carried out dozens of attacks on Hezbollah fighters and its strategic weapons centers in Lebanon. Hezbollah claimed on Monday that it fired mortars in response to Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into force last week.
Israel immediately rejected this allegation. According to Lebanese newspaper The National, at least nine people were killed in Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon on Monday evening. After less than a week of peace, fighting has started again in Lebanon.
Explaining this, Lebanon’s official news agency said that at least five people were killed and two were injured in the air attack on Haris village of Bint Jbeil. There is information of death of four people in the attack on Talusa. Two people, including a member of the Lebanese security forces, were killed in separate attacks earlier in the day.
