Investment expenditure on infrastructure development in the Union Budget has increased by 33 per cent to Rs 10 lakh crore.
In this regard, Nirmala Sitharaman said in her budget speech:
Investment expenditure for infrastructure development has been increased by 33 per cent to Rs 10 lakh crore in the financial year 2023-24. This is 3.3 percent of GDP.
The newly established Infrastructure Finance Secretariat will help attract more private investment.
An expert panel will be set up to develop an infrastructure classification and financing framework suitable for the next 25 years.
This was said by the Finance Minister.
