Budget Updates: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was stubbornly faced with Telangana’s budget in the Parliament on Wednesday. As there are assembly elections in Telangana this year and BJP is trying to come to power in the next elections, everyone thought that funds will be allocated for many projects in Telangana in this budget. But once again Telangana faced disappointment in the budget. There is no provision for the state in the budget.

Nirmala Sitharaman said in the budget speech that research will be conducted at the center of Hyderabad for Sri Anna scheme. For this, he said, the Indian Institute of Millets Research Center in Hyderabad will be converted into a center of excellence. The organization conducts research on the health benefits of nutritious ingredients such as jowar, ragi, bajra, ramdana, china, sama, among others. Apart from this new project, no new projects have been announced in Telangana in the budget. Leaders of the ruling BRS as well as the opposition Congress and other parties are criticizing this.

The Indian Institute of Millets Research Center is functioning under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. While this organization is located in Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad, it conducts research on millets like sorghum and millets. Conducts research on millet breeding and improvement. Facilitates and coordinates sorghum research at national level through All India Coordinated Research Projects. The organization has partnered with various national and international organizations. This company was established in 1995.

Minister KTR has recently written successive letters to the central government to allocate funds for various projects in Telangana in the central budget and to provide funds for railway projects. However, since there is no funds for Telangana in the budget introduced today, the ruling BRS leaders are getting angry.
