1. Stampede in the court of Baba of Bageshwar; 10 injured; There were more than 5 lakh people in the program

Some women received head injuries in the stampede. Most of the injured were women, children and the elderly.
A stampede broke out in the divine court of Baba Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar in Greater Noida. Many people fainted due to the heat and humidity. 10 have received serious injuries. More than 5 lakh people were present in the court at the time of the incident. There was competition among the people to apply in the court.
Why this news is important: There is a danger of spoiling the system due to the arrival of lakhs of people in Baba’s meetings. Lakhs of people had reached Kubereshwar Dham during the Rudraksh Mahotsav in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh in February this year. In this, 3 year old children and 2 women were killed.

2. The central government will buy tomatoes to reduce the price; Will be sold at a lower price in other states
To overcome the rising prices of tomatoes across the country, the Central Government has decided to buy tomatoes from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra. These will be sold in other states at a lower price. 60% of the country’s tomato production is in the southern and western regions.
Why this news is important: Tomato prices have crossed Rs 100 in most of the states. At some places it is being sold for Rs.200 per kg. With the onset of monsoon, there is a decline in the production of tomatoes. New crop is expected soon from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Due to which the prices may come down in the coming time.

3. Devastation due to rain in 5 states; 18 people of MP stranded in Himachal; low-lying areas of delhi submerged

There are flood situations due to rains in Uttarakhand, Delhi, UP, Punjab and Haryana. More than 100 people have died in different states in 5 days. The Himachal government has rescued 25,000 people stranded across the state. 18 people from Madhya Pradesh’s Narmadapuram district are stranded in Himachal’s Chandratal. The record of 45 years has been broken due to increase in the water level of Yamuna in Delhi. Here the low-lying areas have been submerged in floods.
Why this news is important: The water level of Yamuna in Delhi had reached 208.05 meters till 10 pm. The highest water level was 207.49 meters in 1978. By 9 am today, the water level of Yamuna can reach up to 208.30 metres. Till July 12, the country should have received 266 mm of rain, but has received 271 mm. This is 2% more than normal. Northwest India has received 59% more rainfall than normal.

4. Murder of a miscreant by throwing chili in the eyes of the police; Was accused of killing BJP leader
The accused in BJP leader Kirpal Jaghina murder case was killed in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur. The police was taking the two accused by bus to Bharatpur court for production. 5. One-sided victory of TMC in Bengal Panchayat elections; ₹ 2 lakh and job to the kin of the deceased

Bombs were found in Bangar and Murshidabad in South 24 Parganas. They were defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad.
Counting of votes for Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad elections is going on in West Bengal. TMC is winning unilaterally. BJP is in second place. Here, the Bengal government has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh and a government job to the next of kin of the 19 people killed in the election violence. On the other hand, the Calcutta High Court has said that the final result of the election will depend on our order.
Why this news is important: CM Mamta Banerjee says that 19 people have died in election violence. It also includes 10 people from TMC. On the other hand, Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, is alleging that 50 people have died. Instead of the victims, compensation is being given only to TMC people.

5. Retail inflation reached 4.81% in June; The prices of food items increased; was 4.25% in May
Retail inflation has reached 4.81% in June. It had come down to a 25-month low of 4.25% in May. The reason for the increase in inflation is the high prices of vegetables. Monsoon has damaged the crops, due to which the prices have increased. The urban inflation increased to 4.96%, while the rural inflation increased to 4.72%.
Why this news is important: The retail inflation rate in January this year was 6.53%. Which came down to 4.25% in February, March, April and then in May. It was expected to decrease further, but a sudden increase was observed. Experts say that inflation is going to increase in July as well.

7. Censor Board sends OMG 2 for review; The film is to be released on August 11

Oh My God 2 is a sequel to the 2012 film OMG.
The Censor Board has sent the film OMG 2 to the Review Committee before giving the certificate. The Censor Board will decide the future of the film after considering the committee. Right now it would not be right to use the word ban for the film. The Akshay Kumar starrer film is slated to release on August 11. The teaser has arrived on 11th July.
Why this news is important: The censor board has taken this decision in view of the controversy over the film Adipurush last month. However, there is no clear information yet as to which scenes or dialogues in OMG 2 have sent the film for review by the Censor Board.
