The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) reported that due to Hurricane Hilary 315 thousand 929 users have been affected in Baja California, Baja California Sur and Sonora, of which Power has been restored to 53 percent.
In a statement, he pointed out that the meteorological phenomenon caused affectations in the national territory since 2:00 p.m. (center) from August 19 to 6:30 p.m. today, August 20, when it entered the United States of America as a tropical storm.
The CFE indicated that by state, the number of affected users is presented and its reset is as follows:
- 89,918 users affected in Baja California Sur; 96% electrical restoration.
- 169,451 affected users in Baja California; 33% electrical recovery.
- 56,560 affected users in Sonora; 48% electrical recovery.
He reported that in the impacted territory there are still floods and the communities of Santa Rosalía, Loreto and Bahía de Asunción are incommunicado.
The work will not stop until they are returned to normal operating conditions, he explained.
The CFE pointed out that 1,077 electrical workers were available to attend to the emergency220 cranes, 163 vehicles, 64 emergency plants, 12 lighting towers and 1 helicopter, located at strategic points to deal with any damage that may arise.
The CFE indicated through the National Civil Protection Systemmaintains close coordination with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of the Navy, the National Water Commission, the Ministry of Health, state and municipal governments, for the attention of this contingency.
