Kangana posted that she is currently rehearsing for the climax song of Chandramukhi 2 with Kala Master. Kangana announced that the song is composed by Golden Globe Award winner Keeravani. She tweeted that it is a matter of great pride.
Competition with Jyotika
Everyone knows how big a hit the song ‘Varai’ from ‘Chandramukhi’ was. The audience went crazy after seeing the gestures of heroine Jyothika in that song. Superstar Rajinikanth’s horror movie Chandramukhi became the biggest hit in Kollywood as well as Tollywood. When this movie was released in 2005, it created a sensation at that time. Directed by P Vasu, Nayanthara, Prabhu and Jyothika played key roles along with Rajinikanth. Mixing comedy with horror, this movie impressed the audience.
Although there have always been rumors about the sequel to Chandramukhi, the official announcement came last year. Raghava Lawrence is playing the lead role instead of Rajinikanth. The shooting of Chandramukhi-2 started last year in Mysore. Raghava Lawrence, who met Rajinikanth before shooting, knelt at his feet and took his blessings.
There is huge hype for this movie in Telugu states as well. Directed by P Vasu, this film is being produced on a grand scale by Lyca Productions. It remains to be seen if it will follow the magic of Chandramukhi. Lawrence also scared the audience well with horror movies like Muni and Kanchana series. So Lawrence fans have high expectations on this movie. With the presence of Kangana, the film is likely to get good openings in Bollywood as well.
