Chelsea climbed to the third round in the English Football League Cup, following its difficult 2-1 victory over its guest Wimbledon on Wednesday, in the second round of the competition.
And at Stamford Bridge in the British capital, London, Chelsea overcame Wimbledon, which competes in the English third division, with great difficulty.
Wimbledon took the initiative to score through James Tilly in the 19th minute from a penalty kick, but Noni Madueki scored the equalizer for Chelsea in the first minute of calculated time instead of lost for the first half from a penalty kick as well.
In the second half, Argentine Enzo Fernandez added Chelsea’s second goal in the 72nd minute, to lead the London team to continue their campaign in the championship, which they won 5 times, the last of which was in the 2014-2015 season.

Swiss Zaki Amdouni played the starring role in the match, after scoring Burnley’s only goal in the first minute of stoppage time in the second half.
Lincoln City, a competitor in the second division, pulled off a resounding surprise after defeating its host, Sheffield United, active in the English Premier League.
Lincoln won Sheffield 3-2 on penalties, which the two teams resorted to after the original time between them ended in a goalless draw.
