Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accused the central government of stopping aid payments to OBCs and minorities.
The Medashree Scheme, which provides educational assistance to Backward Backward Classes (OBC) and Minority students in West Bengal, was launched yesterday in Alipurdar. Chief Minister Mamata inaugurated this scheme.
Speaking then, he said, “The central government has stopped the educational assistance schemes for OBC and minority students. West Bengal Government will embrace all parties. The state government will provide educational assistance to OBC and minorities. We want to bring the community together. “BJP wants to create division,” he said.
