Beijing. China has tested a deadly missile. China’s People’s Liberation Army successfully launched an intercontinental ballistic missile in the Pacific Ocean. The question arises whether this missile has been launched towards America. China also responded to this. China says that this launch was not launched towards any country or target.
According to China, the missile launch is in accordance with international laws. China has not given any information about the power, range or the place of launch of the missile. China’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that the intercontinental ballistic missile was fitted with a dummy warhead and was launched by the Rocket Force of the People’s Liberation Army at 8.44 am local time. The missile fell into the sea at the expected place.
China’s Defense Ministry said in a statement, ‘The Chinese Army’s Rocket Force launched an ICBM carrying a dummy weapon in the Pacific Ocean at 08:44 am on September 25. The missile fell in the same sea area where it was expected. This launch is a routine arrangement in our annual training plan. This launch is in accordance with international law and international practice. It was not targeted towards any country.’ In October last year, the US Defense Department had said that China is building its nuclear arsenal faster than the US.
The missile launch comes at a time when China is angry over a new US missile system seen in the Indo-Pacific region earlier this year. Chinese officials have repeatedly complained about this weapon, including twice last week. The US military deployed its Mid-Range Capability (MRC) or Typhoon missile system in the Philippines in April. US officials are also keen to deploy it in Japan.
