Chinese citizens were asked to leave Ukraine immediately. The corresponding call was published on October 15 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, the Global Times reports on its Twitter.
“Due to the current security situation in Ukraine, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine are calling on Chinese citizens in the country to increase precautions and evacuate,” the statement said.
It is also noted that the embassy will assist in organizing the evacuation of people in need.
Earlier, on October 11, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyiv called on its citizens to leave the territory of Ukraine and refrain from traveling to this country. Citizens of the republic were asked to evacuate for personal safety in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the country and the likelihood of continued rocket and artillery strikes.
The same call to its citizens was made by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Kyiv the day before. In addition, the US Embassy in Kyiv on the same day issued a call for Americans in Ukraine to urgently leave the country.
On the morning of Monday, October 10, explosions thundered in large cities of Ukraine. There were about four explosions in Kyiv. Ukrainian media later reported on new explosions in the Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions, Kyiv, the Dnieper (formerly Dnepropetrovsk) and Khmelnitsky.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced a threat to energy facilities throughout the country. He also announced an air raid alert.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also said on Monday that, at the suggestion of the Russian Defense Ministry, a massive strike with precision-guided weapons was carried out on Ukraine’s military infrastructure. Military command and energy facilities were also hit.
