The movie ‘Waltheru Veeraiya’ has done a worldwide pre-release business of Rs.94 crores. Now this film has collected a share of Rs.98 crores in seven days. That means, there is already a profit of Rs.4 crores. If this momentum continues at the box office for another week, another blockbuster will fall in Megastar’s account. This is the highest box office collection in a week after ‘Saira’ for Megastar who started his second innings with ‘Khaidi No.150’.
‘Khaidi No.150’ grossed Rs.111 crore worldwide in the first week. In this the distributor’s share is worth around Rs.77 crores. And ‘Saira Narasimha Reddy’ grossed Rs.188 crores in the first week. In which the share value is around Rs.115 crores. Otherwise ‘Saira’ is a pan India movie. After that, ‘Acharya’ collected only Rs 75 crore gross in the first week. In which the share is about Rs.47 crores. Later ‘Godfather’ also failed to make much impact. This movie earned about Rs.96 crore gross and Rs.53 crore share in a week.
However, ‘Waltheru Veeraiya’ not only re-introduced the vintage megastar to the Telugu audience but also brought Chiranjeevi back to glory at the box office. Chiranjeevi once again showed his stamina by collecting a share of Rs.98 crore within a week. The level of market for Chiranjeevi in Nizam is once again seen through ‘Waltheru Veeraya’. The film has collected a share of Rs.26 crores in the first week of Nizam. About Rs.14 crore share was collected in seeded. It is remarkable that the share of Rs. 11 crores has been collected in overseas as well. Overall, Bass was the winner in this Sankranti race.
