CIF FOOTBALL: Yambu FC Cruises To Red Sea Shores After Ousting Former Champions ACC

Jeddah: Kafat Al Arabiya Yambu started their campaign by defeating former champions N Comfort ACC A by four goals to one in the A Division in the ongoing 20th CIF-Ease Tea Champions League in Jeddah. In other matches on the second day, Cyclone Mobile Accessories IT Soccer defeated strong Safia Travels Yas FC 2-1 in B Division while N Comfort ACC B FC were held to a draw by FC Kuwaiza.

FC Yambu played their welcome game in the CIF tournament at the Waziria Al Ta’awun Stadium in Jeddah. Yambu FC is the only team from outside Jeddah this season. In the first half, ACC A were in the lead with one goal each, but in the second half, Yambu FC fell apart. ACC was the first to score against FC Yampu, who were leading the way in the table. Mohammad Niaz is the scorer. ACC was brought forward. FC Yampu used a strategy of keeping Rahul Kochan in front and passing the ball to both sides, cracking ACC’s defense and storming unexpectedly. The second match in B Division was between last year’s B Division Champions and C Division Champions. Safiya Travels beat Yas FC 2-1 in Cyclone Mobile Accessories IT Soccer.
Defender Mubashir Kalunguthottam and Salahuddin Tayil scored for the winners while Yasnai Mubarak Karathoti found the consolation goal. The trophy for IT Soccer’s Dilshad Nalaka, the man of the match, was presented by Cherry Mancheri.
