Siliguri: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said at a public meeting in Siliguri, West Bengal, that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be implemented once the corona infection is over.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit to West Bengal, addressed a public meeting in Siliguri yesterday. Then he said:
The Trinamool Congress has been spreading rumors that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will not be implemented. Once the corona infection is over, the Citizenship Amendment Act will come into force. Does Mamta Banerjee want infiltration to continue? But the CAA will definitely be enforced. This cannot be prevented by the Trinamool Congress. Thus spoke Amit Shah. Earlier, patrol boats and boat ambulances of the Border Security Force were launched yesterday at Hingalkanj in North 24 Parganas district. These patrol boats will act as floating security positions in the Sundarbans area.
Speaking to Border Security Force personnel at the event, Amit Shah said, “The newly launched patrol boats at the border will help prevent infiltration and smuggling. These patrol boats will also provide intensive surveillance of border areas. These patrol boats will intensify surveillance in the inaccessible area of the Sundarbans. In the Sundarbans, an ambulance boat will provide medical assistance in separate areas from Saheb Galle to Samsher Nagar. ”
Minister Amit Shah also laid the foundation stone for the Maitri Sangrahalaya Museum in Haridaspur. The museum will raise awareness about the heroic deeds of the Border Security Force during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
