HathrasIn the stampede incident in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on 2 July 2024, the Judicial Commission has submitted its investigation report to the government. 121 people lost their lives in this tragic accident, while many others were seriously injured. The Commission has held the organizers responsible for the incident in its report, as well as the negligence of the administration and the police as a serious lapse.
The report has now been introduced in the cabinet and approval has also been received to be kept in the House. According to officials, this report will now be considered mandatory for appropriate action by the state government, so that such incidents can be prevented in future. In the Hathras district, the investigation report of the horrific stampede incident, the negligence of the organizers has been cited as the main reason.
According to the report, the organizers did not follow the safety standards in the satsang in which this Hathras accident occurred. The narrator involved in this incident ‘Bhole Baba’ has been completely acquitted in the investigation. The Inquiry Commission clarified that Baba has no relation with this incident. The Commission also said that the real reason was the maladom of the organizers and a huge crowd at the scene, which caused a stampede.

In its report, the Judicial Commission admitted that the number of people at the scene was more than the estimate, which could not enactly implemented security measures and (Hathras) stamped. According to the report, the negligence of the organizers was considered the main cause of this accident. The Commission further said that the correct figures were not collected about the number of crowds at the venue, due to which the deployment of security forces was also low.
