Ranchi. The Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand has expanded the cabinet after winning the trust vote in the assembly. At 4 pm in a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan, Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to 11 ministers.
Champai Soren, who left the CM’s chair for Hemant Soren, has also been made a minister. He was also a part of the previous Hemant Soren cabinet. Apart from Champai Soren, the ministers who have been sworn in include Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, Banna Gupta, Irfan Ansari, Deepika Pandey Singh of Congress, Mithilesh Thakur, Deepak Birua, Vaidyanath Ram, Hafizul Hasan and Baby Devi of JMM and Satyanand Bhokta of RJD.

Hemant Soren’s younger brother Basant Soren and Congress quota minister Badal Patralekh have been dropped this time. This time three new faces have been given place in the cabinet. These include Dr. Irfan Ansari and Deepika Pandey Singh from Congress quota and Vaidyanath Ram from JMM quota.
Irfan Ansari has been given a place in the cabinet as a minority face in place of jailed former minister Alamgir Alam, while Deepika Pandey Singh has replaced dropped minister Badal. Vaidyanath Ram has been given a place in place by replacing Basant Soren (Hemant Soren’s younger brother) from JMM quota. Hemant Soren was sworn in as CM for the third time on July 4.
