Jagan government has given good news to the small traders of Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy brought the Jagananna Todu Scheme with the intention of supporting small traders. As part of this, CM Jagan will provide new loans to the beneficiaries on Wednesday. Under this scheme the entire interest burden will be borne by the government.
Under the Jagananna Todu scheme, 3.95 lakh small traders and traditional artisans will be given new loans of Rs 395 crore through banks at the rate of Rs 10 thousand each. Also, the interest reimbursement of Rs.15.17 crore for the last 6 months will be credited to the accounts of the beneficiaries by pressing a button on the computer in CM Jagan’s camp office.
Who is eligible?
Those who have set up permanent or temporary shops in villages and towns in a space of about 5 feet long and 5 feet wide are eligible for this scheme. Also, people live by selling goods, vegetables and fruits on pushcarts on the footpaths, streets, tiffin centers on roadsides, sellers of goods in baskets, baskets, bicycle, motorcycle, autos and traditional artisans. Officials said that those who depend on the professions such as Atikoppaka, Kondapalli bammala making, lace works, kalankari, puppeteers, potters etc. are eligible for this scheme.
