The president of the Electoral Institute of Coahuila (IEC), Rodrigo Paredeswas a victim of cybercrime when his “X” account was hackedformerly Twitter, where inappropriate publications were made, according to a statement issued by the communications area.
Although it was not clarified if a complaint would be filed or if an investigation would be initiated in this regard, the statement mentioned that “that various personal and official accounts of the social network”.

Due to the above, they clarified “to the users of Social Networks and the entire community that the publications, reactions, reposts or any inappropriate activity carried out on them were not made by the President Director and in no way reflect his opinion and/or way of thinking or acting.”.

They assured that Paredes Lozano is working on recovering his accounts, “Therefore, the media and users of social networks are requested to be most attentive in avoiding making an inappropriate version of the information generated in them so as not to promote misinformation.”, reiterating the commitment towards the Coahuila citizens their civic and ethical values.
