ISLAMABAD: Criticism of a Pakistani university’s question to write an essay on brother-sister sex. The controversial question was included in the question paper of the English examination of the electrical engineering course of ComSATs University, Islamabad. The teacher was fired in the incident.

The question was to write an essay of not less than 300 words on the sexual relationship between brother and sister. This was the first question in the question paper. The exam was last December.

As the question became controversial, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Pakistan directed the university to investigate the matter and take action. The teacher was fired after an investigation. He has been blacklisted from future teaching jobs. It was found that the question caused discomfort among children and parents. The controversial question was criticized on social media and in the Parliament of Pakistan.
