Hathras. The death of 121 people has been confirmed in the stampede during the satsang in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. The police is busy taking action against the organizers of this program. The police has raided 8 places including Mainpuri, Gwalior, Kanpur and Hathras. The police team searched inside the ashram for about 30 minutes but there was no trace of Bhole Baba.
(Hathras) Mainpuri police suddenly raided the ashram of Narayan Sakar alias Baba (Bhole Baba) Sakar Hari in the incident at midnight. Police teams suddenly reached Baba’s ashram along with SP City Mainpuri and CO Bhogaon. Police teams spent more than 30 minutes inside the ashram. When the officers came out, they said that they had only come to see the security arrangements. Baba (Bhole Baba) is not inside. There are 50 to 60 male and female devotees inside who usually visit this ashram.

The Yogi government has constituted a judicial commission to investigate the Hathras incident. It will be headed by retired Allahabad High Court judge Justice Brijesh Kumar Srivastava. Retired IAS Hemant Rao and retired DG Bhavesh Kumar Singh are members of the commission. The commission will submit the investigation report within two months of the issuance of this notification. It will also give suggestions to prevent such incidents in future.
An FIR has been lodged against 22 organisers except Bhole Baba in Sikandrarao police station of Hathras. Only one is named, the rest are unknown. Bhole Baba conducts satsang on the first Tuesday of every month, in which people from UP, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Punjab come. A similar event was organised in Hathras, in which more than one lakh followers had arrived.
