TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu (Nara) was furious over the Jagan government’s decision to sell land in Amravati. Jagan, who did not lay a single brick for the construction of Amravati, was told that he had no right to the land there. YCP government officials at the Amaravathi cemetery have questioned how the acre is now being sold for Rs 10 crore. They were incensed at what they now see as renting out buildings built for government employees during their reign to private companies without being completed for three years. Chandrababu spoke to party leaders at a strategy committee meeting held online on Monday. Jagan alleged that during his three-year rule, he did nothing for the people except tax cuts and cuts in welfare schemes. He said that reducing the number of beneficiaries by 52,000 under the Ammoodi scheme and raising the pension age of single women to 50 years and reducing the number of beneficiaries by lakhs was a vicious act. Chandrababu said that even though the TDP was not contesting in the Atmakuru by-elections, the YCP votes did not increase. This is a proof of the public opposition to the party among the people. The fall of Andhra Pradesh from third to 19th position in the list of states providing quality education in the country is a testament to Jagan’s incompetent rule.
