Haridhuwar: A defamation case has been registered in the Haridwar court against Rahul Gandhi for criticizing the 21st century Kauravas as the RSS organisation.
A case has been registered against Rahul Gandhi in the Haridwar court for saying that the modern heroes of the 21st century are the RSS when he spoke in Haryana on January 9, when he undertook the Indian Unity Yatra. Kamal Bhathuria from RSS organization has filed this case. The petition said that Rahul Gandhi’s indecent criticism of the RSS organization is an offense under Sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code, and hence legal action should be taken against him.
Judge Shiv Singh has said that this case will be taken up for hearing on the 12th and the plaintiff in the case should appear in person. Speaking to the media, Kamal Bhathuria’s lawyer said, “Rahul Gandhi has compared the 21st century Kauravars to the RSS. This vulgar speech shows his state of mind. RSS is an organization that can rush to serve wherever a natural calamity occurs in the country. A case has been filed against Rahul Gandhi for defaming such an organization. This case is going to be heard on the 12th,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi recently lost his seat as a Member of Parliament after being sentenced to 2 years in prison by a Surat court in Gujarat in a case of defamation of the Modi community. In this case, another defamation case has been registered against him in Haridwar.
