The Secretariat Women Police Welfare Association has lodged a complaint with the AP Women’s Commission against Telugu Desam Party chief and opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu. The members of the association claimed that objectionable comments were made against the women policemen in the secretariat. To this extent, Women Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padmaku Grama, Ward Secretariat Women Police Welfare Association President S. Mahalakshmi, General Secretary D. Madhulota, Guntur District President MVN Durga, Gausya Begum, Mangalagiri Geetha and others have complained. Members of the association said that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Secretariat Women Police System has been established for the protection of women at the village level. However, Chandrababu said that they should not cooperate with the Secretariat Women’s Police system, they should close the doors if they come, and they are going from house to house to survey the illicit relations of husband and wife to create fear in the people. Chandrababu, who is a former Chief Minister, made such comments on the women police of the Secretariat. Members of the association said that Chandrababu’s comments have deeply distressed the women police of the secretariat. He said that this matter has been brought to the attention of the members of the Women’s Commission. The Chairperson of the Women’s Commission responded seriously to these comments. Vasireddy Padma objected to Chandrababu’s words. Vasireddy Padma called for all to condemn Chandrababu’s attitude. Vasireddy Padma assured that an investigation will be conducted and appropriate action will be taken.
