Confrontations in Lützerath take a heavy toll: many dozens of demonstrators and police officers are injured

In confrontations with the German police on Saturday at ‘lignite village’ Lützerath, not far from Roermond, many dozens, possibly even more than a hundred activists were injured. Many of them had broken bones in their arms and legs, a doctor said. Protesters also suffered head injuries.
