New Delhi. Congress has made a big announcement regarding Delhi elections. To woo women voters, Congress has announced to give Rs 2500 to every woman if it comes to power. Pyari Didi scheme was announced by Congress on Monday. Announcing the scheme, Congress leader and Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said that he will approve the scheme in the first cabinet meeting after coming to power.
On this occasion, Delhi Congress in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin said that for the upcoming assembly elections, the Congress party is launching the first guarantee related to social welfare and women empowerment. He said that Congress has always been ready for social welfare and empowerment of women. Nizamuddin said that in Karnataka too, as soon as the government was formed, Congress had decided and implemented its social welfare plan in the first cabinet meeting. Therefore, Congress is necessary in Delhi for women empowerment.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said, “Today I have come here to launch the ‘Pyari Didi’ scheme. I have full confidence that Congress will form the government in Delhi and we will give Rs 2,500 to women and this will be decided in the first cabinet meeting itself. This is on the same model that we implemented in Karnataka.
This announcement of Congress is being considered as a bet to woo women voters in Delhi elections. According to the voter list released by the Election Commission, there are 71 lakh women voters in Delhi. Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party had already promised to give Rs 2100 per month to women if the government is formed again. Registration of women is also being done by Aam Aadmi Party. In such a situation, now everyone’s eyes are fixed on BJP’s resolution letter.
