New Delhi: The Congress has launched a new campaign of door-to-door letters pointing out the central government’s failures.
To strengthen the Congress, the party’s senior leader Rahul Gandhi launched the Bharat Unity Rally in Kanyakumari on September 7 last year. As part of this, the Congress yesterday started a door-to-door letter campaign pointing out the central government’s failures.
According to Congress sources, “We have started a new campaign on Republic Day. According to this, we have planned to distribute letters door to door in 6 lakh villages across the country. The campaign will end on March 26.
The letter pointed out that the prices of essential commodities including cooking gas, petrol, food grains and cooking oil have increased. That is, in 2004, the cooking gas cylinder price was Rs.410. It is alleged in the letter that it is now Rs.1,050. Similarly, various allegations have been made.
10 state assembly elections are going to be held this year. Lok Sabha elections will be held next year. In this regard, the Congress is actively campaigning.
