LucknowThe state Congress took to the streets on Friday to protest, demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister and the Education Minister who were responsible for the rigging in the NEET exam and the cancellation of the UGC NET exam. Under the leadership of state president Ajay Rai, the workers left from the state headquarters to gherao the Legislative Assembly.
However, after going a little further, the police stopped everyone by barricading. Here the workers had a heated argument with the police. Meanwhile, party leaders including Ajay Rai started moving forward by crossing the barricading. The police forcefully stopped them and there was a lot of pushing and shoving here too. After this, the police forcibly took the state president and other party leaders and workers into custody and took them to Eco Garden.

During this time, the activists were demanding cancellation of the exam in the interest of the students and resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Ajay Rai alleged that there was a technical glitch in the exam and unfair means were used. In BJP-ruled states Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and Haryana, many accused of rigging the NEET exam have also been arrested. Due to which the entire exam is surrounded by apprehension. The future of the youth is being played with in BJP-ruled states. Incidents of paper leaks are happening every day.
On the other hand, Congress workers and officials in Kanpur protested outside the District Magistrate’s office regarding the rigging in the NEET exam. Along with this, ABVP workers burnt the effigy of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan outside the District Magistrate’s office.
