Patna: Popular election strategist Prashant Kishor suddenly met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar last night.
Election strategist Prashant Kishore had earlier devised election strategies for the BJP in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. After that, in 2015 Bihar assembly elections, Prashant Kishore worked in support of the grand alliance of Congress, JTU and RJD and won the election. After the election, Prashant Kishore joined the United Janata Dal and became the party’s vice-president.
But Prashant Kishore left the party last year after a rift between party leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prashant Kishore.
There were reports that Prashant Kishor, who participated in election work in support of the Trinamool Congress party in the Legislative Assembly elections in Bengal, will later join the Congress. But not connected. Since then he has been criticizing the Congress party and the Nehru family. Prashant Kishore had recently criticized Nitish Kumar for his withdrawal from the BJP alliance.
Meanwhile, the two met suddenly yesterday and held a consultation for about 45 minutes. It is said that Pawan Verma, former president of the Janata Dal United Party, organized the meeting and also participated in the deliberations.
Speaking about the meeting, Nitish Kumar said, “We met. We didn’t talk about anything special. We had a normal conversation. What’s wrong with us meeting? We have a habit for a long time. I have no regrets with Prashant Kishore.”
In the last two years, the two have met four times. However, it is said that the meeting this time focused on the 2024 elections. The meeting with Prashant Kishore has gained significance as it is being said that Nitish Kumar will contest as the prime ministerial candidate in 2024 elections.
