The Copag cooperative allocated a significant amount of money from the first hours of the devastating Al Haouz earthquake. Sources from Taroudant indicated that the cooperative decided to purchase a thousand tents for 3 million dirhams, which will be delivered to the local authorities in Taroudant for distribution to the earthquake victims in this province.
The cooperative also decided to acquire 500 prefabricated houses, “a bank with a capacity of 3 meters/6 metres.”
In addition, COPAC provided medical and paramedical materials to the regional hospital in Taroudant. The cooperative provided the food needs for nearly two thousand people in the hospital, including the injured and their companions, in addition to all medical and administrative staff.
It also provided favorable conditions for the success of a large blood donation campaign among the organization’s employees.
COPAC motivated its members, managers, administrators and employees to carry out solidarity initiatives.
These are considered forms of solidarity, and the administration and stakeholders will continue to respond to the royal instructions related to the earthquake by continuing local solidarity. Contributing to the Reconstruction Fund.
