Copper thieves on the track tackled with technical gadgets: ‘We are no longer in the bushes’

The railway is no longer a haven for copper thieves. Rail manager ProRail uses big data to know where the risk of copper theft is greatest, and takes measures there. Due to these and other far-reaching measures, the number of copper thefts has fallen sharply in recent years.
