In the Lok Sabha yesterday (July 20), DR Palu asked, “In the Census 2021, have caste-wise details been included for the backward classes? What steps has the Central Government taken to rectify the continuing legal issues in the reservation for the downtrodden and the tribals?” As the Union Home Minister, Nithiyananda Roy, raised a detailed question.
The answer given by the Union Home Minister:
“According to the Gazette published in March, 2019, in consultation with the Union Ministries, Census 2021 Is being conducted. In the event of a corona plague outbreak, these activities are currently postponed.
According to the provisions of the Constitution, a survey of the downtrodden and tribals has been conducted. In the Lok Sabha and in the state legislatures, the number of members for the underprivileged and tribal has been confirmed.
The reservation of the downtrodden, the tribals and the backward in the employment and educational institutions of the Central Government has also been documented.
To find solutions to legal issues in various courts, Central government Is taking appropriate action “.
