New Delhi. The court has ordered to register an FIR against Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the case of alleged extortion through electoral bonds. This order has been given by the People’s Representative Court of Bengaluru. While hearing the complaint, the court directed the Tilak Nagar police station of Bengaluru to register a case of extortion through electoral bonds.
Janadhikar Sangharsh Parishad (JSP) co-chairman Adarsh Iyer had filed a complaint in the Bengaluru court demanding instructions to take action against Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Adarsh Iyer alleged that extortion was done through threats and electoral bonds. After considering the complaint of the petitioner, the Bengaluru court has directed the Tilak Nagar Police of Bengaluru to register an FIR.
Senior advocate Balan presented arguments on behalf of the petitioner. The hearing of the case has been adjourned till October 10.
