He has become the 15th President of BJP Rajasthan and 7th Brahmin President. Earlier, Harishankar Bhabhada, Bhanwarlal Sharma, Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi, Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Raghuveer Singh Kaushal and Arun Chaturvedi have been Brahmin state presidents.
