Traffic Violation Video: Abu Dhabi Police With Warning
ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi Police has warned about the penalties for traffic violations, including a fine of Dh800 for careless driving. The reminder comes after a video of a driver committing several traffic violations in three seconds went viral in the UAE.
The police also shared a video of a car accident caught on a road surveillance camera in Abu Dhabi. Reckless driving is punishable by a fine of Dhs 800 and four black points.
In just three seconds, the driver committed serious violations like driving off the track and crossing the red light. The video also shows him hitting another car traveling in the right direction at high speed.
Ignoring a red signal is a serious offense and will result in a fine of Dh1000 and 12 black points and impoundment of the vehicle for 30 days. A fine of 50,000 dirhams is required to release the impounded vehicle. There is also a provision that the vehicle can be auctioned if the vehicle is not recovered after paying the fine within three months.
