Meanwhile, the Migjam cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal is increasing in intensity. It is raining heavily on the coasts of Chennai. Phase II cyclone warning has been issued for Andhra Pradesh, North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts.

Fishermen have also been advised to be cautious. The Central Meteorological Department has informed that there will be no disruption to fishing in Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts
South West Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu – Pondicherry coasts: Very strong winds with speed of 60 to 70 kmph and 80 kmph at isolated places are likely over South West Bay of Bengal. Wind speed will increase towards 70 to 80 km per hour and 90 km per hour at some occasions during the evening of December 3 and will continue for the next 12 hours, after which the wind speed will gradually decrease.
Central West Bay of Bengal, South Andhra Pradesh Coast : Strong winds with speed of 50 to 60 kmph and occasional gusts of up to 70 kmph are likely over Central West Bay of Bengal. Then by the evening of December 3, wind speed of 70 to 80 kmph and occasional gusty winds of 90 kmph are likely.
Then on December 4 morning it increased to 80 to 90 kmph and on some occasions up to 100 kmph and on December 4 evening to December 5 afternoon.
Wind speed is also likely to increase to 90 to 100 kmph and at some occasions up to 110 kmph after which the wind speed will decrease gradually.
North Andhra Pradesh Coast: Gusts of 45 to 55 kmph and occasional 65 kmph are likely from December 4 evening over North Andhra Pradesh coasts. During the next 24 hours from the morning of December 5, the wind speed is likely to increase to 55 to 65 kmph and at some occasions up to 75 kmph, after which the wind speed will gradually decrease.
Odisha Coast: Strong wind speed of 35 to 45 km per hour and occasional up to 55 km per hour is likely from December 4 evening on Odisha coast. Then on December 5 in the evening, the wind speed will increase to 40 to 50 kmph and at some occasions up to 60 kmph and will continue for the next 12 hours, after which the wind speed will gradually decrease.
Fishing is not allowed on the above dates and areas.

Thunderstorm warning has also been issued. On 03 December 2023, strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour along with thundershowers at isolated places in Kerala; The Central Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in Kerala on December 04.
